Liftoff Campaigns is a mission-driven digital and communications agency seeking skilled individuals with a passion for making a difference to join our team. Our clients are statewide and local Democratic political campaigns, PACs, advocates, non-profits, and changemaking companies.

Job Overview:

Liftoff Campaigns is hiring a Creative Director to serve as a key member of our team. The Creative Director plays a critical role in leading the creative development process at Liftoff. In a typical day, you may produce still graphics for Meta ads in the morning, lead a mid-day meeting about the creative approach for a voter registration campaign, and in the afternoon manage the intake of video footage from a commercial shoot. Responsibilities include – but aren’t limited to! – the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Drive the development and execution of the design process for client deliverables from start to finish.
  • Lead the creative vision for digital campaigns and experiences, ensuring all concepts, designs, and content align with client goals, brand guidelines and mission-driven values.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to develop big-picture campaign strategies, creative concepts across a variety of digital channels (websites, social media, email, ads, etc.).
  • Write the text copy for Meta, search, and other platforms that have both a visual and text component.
  • Develop and finalize email, social, advertising, and other graphics and gifs to spec.
  • Execute on graphic requests in both long term and rapid response environments.
  • Manage creative deliverables, libraries and databases.

Qualifications:

  • Creative leadership:
    • A passion for designing high-quality digital graphics from start to finish.
    • Ability to develop and/or adhere to brand guidelines.
    • Work the fundraising teams to conceptualize and design ads and graphics to reach and exceed client fundraising goals.
    • Proficiency with still and motion graphic tools, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Premier, Final Cut, etc. 
  • Advertising experience:
    • Familiarity with advertising specs and best practices across social and digital platforms.
    • At least one previous cycle on a political campaign or 1-3 years in a creative role at an organization or agency.
  • Teamwork: 
    • Detail-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
    • Team-oriented with the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed. Ability to juggle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
    • Commitment to electing Democrats and promoting Democratic causes.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range for this position begins is $82,000-$90,000
